1. Purpose
This procedure evaluates the torsion endurance properties of Anyang cables to verify retention of operational performance under severe cyclic twisting conditions. Testing confirms compliance with Anyang Motion Cable Specifications, applicable industry standards, and safety agency requirements.
2. Methodology
Cable specimens are cut to specified lengths, stabilized to relieve inherent stresses, and straightened as required. Conductors are exposed at both ends and connected in series configuration. A continuous current is applied to the series circuit while torsional stress is imposed.
Audible and visual monitoring systems detect conductor failure during testing. The torsion fixture is calibrated to apply the specified angular displacement and tension. Testing continues until either the prescribed cycle count is achieved or electrical failure is indicated by the monitoring system.
3. Data Analysis
Test results are automatically validated against standardized requirements through electronic data comparison, ensuring objective evaluation and measurement accuracy.
